Cititec has further strengthened its presence in Europe with new, local representation in Brussels. Established in August 2006, the affiliate office, run by Harry Shelley and Phil Wiget is already producing outstanding results.

The Brussels operation offers the same spectrum of services as Cititec in London and has been set up to provide specialised Financial IT recruitment services for the whole Benelux region. As a niche banking centre, the Benelux countries are a high demand area for Financial IT resources but historically there haven’t been many dedicated banking service suppliers in the region.

Harry Shelley explains the choice of Brussels as a location for the new venture: “The city offers a very business-friendly environment. The Benelux region is a mature market for contracting and there are already models in place that work. As Brussels is right at the heart of Europe we can also take advantage of the fantastic transport links the location provides.”

The experience of the London team has proven that to really provide service excellence and build up business you need a local office to manage local contractors. With the closer client contact and extra level of support for candidates that local representation brings, Cititec is confident it can quickly become the leading banking recruitment company in the Benelux region.
