| Description: | My global investment banking client, based in Docklands, is looking for an experienced database development specialist to work as part of a team responsible for developing and supporting of Global Banking and Markets Planning and Billing Data Warehouse. A candidate with a broad experience of database design and development within an investment banking environment is needed with extensive Oracle, TOAD and PL-SQL knowledge. In addition previous roles involving the development of MI systems, data warehouses and business intelligence solutions is also essential. Other required technical skills include any SQL Server experience, UNIX and skill scripting knowledge as well as some exposure to Java, Cognos and any Enterprise tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, etc.). Previous investment banking experience is essential for this role, ideally with a good understanding of the IT project development life-cycle within this environment.
My client is offering a daily rate of circa £450-500 per day for the right candidate and would offer a three month contract initially before moving the successfully candidate onto a permanent salary after this time if all goes well.
