about the role
The Data Science market is very buoyant at the moment and companies across all sectors are looking to expand their data teams, My publishing technology Client in Singapore is no different in that respect. What does set them above other companies of similar size is tthere commitment to giving their data science managers the right mix of being hands-on with team management
So what will you be doing here as a Data Science Manager? Well, youll get the chance to manage an entire region of talented, enthusiastic and intelligent data professionals. You will be in charge of managing the APAC team (This involves; Singapore Malaysia and Sri Lanka).
But it is not just managing this wide and diverse team of data professionals that makes this role pretty neat. Its the hands-on aspect of it too. The team is responsible for maintaining various Tableau legacy platforms and as the Manager of the team, youll also be doing this too. Many data science managers I come across say they still want to do hands-on work despite managing a team. This role will give you that perfect blend.
What will you need to have? Well, you will need experience managing data teams as well as hands-on experience with Tableau, Python (or even R), and SQL. You will also need strong-client facing and stakeholder experience too.
Beyond the role they also offer an array of perks such as; medical insurance, maternity (and of course paternity) leave, but not just parental leave, they also offer childcare leave too. And, if it couldnt get any better, youll also get your birthday off too!
If you want to want the chance to manage teams across borders whilst still being hands-on yourself, Id like to hear from you. Why not take the chance?
