Cititec has partnered with a scaling financial trading organisation to support them on their quest to find a Senior Data Engineer. Having started just under a decade ago, they are a growing player in the crypto space and are looking to build out their data function even further. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be doing this by helping to not only build data tools but also by expanding the remit of the whole engineering team to better help the organisation deliver its services to its customers even better

What you will have the opportunity to do as a Senior Data Engineer:

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and processes for ingestion, transformation and loading of structured and unstructured data
• Ensure accurate data is coming in from external sources as and when required
• Database maintenance
• Help to improve data processing, data quality, etc

Skills and experience required as a Senior Data Engineer:

• At least 2 years experience in a relevant data role (but as this is a senior role your best bet is having at least 3-4 years experience)
• Experience with either AWS
• Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Airflow
• Kafka
• SQL
• Experience with delta and datalake building. Data mesh too would be good
• Strong programming with either Python or Java
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
