Our client is a leading global finance company seeking to expand their team with a Senior Java Development Engineer within the Capital Markets space. The successful incumbent will be highly capable, with a strong technical foundation, and career aspirations to move into a Lead position in the long run.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - business stakeholders, engineers, program management, project management, etc. - to produce high quality solutions.
• Shape the next generation of the FX Treasury and Market Services system.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into working solutions for a global user base.
• Strive for continuous improvement of code quality and development practices.
• Seed and contribute to cross functional services.
• Propose and deliver solutions using mix of 3rd party/vendor and in-house developed software
• Deliver results through collaboration

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent relevant qualifications
• Experienced /Senior Developer with extensive Java server-side development
• Java-8, SQL and Linux experience is a must
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies preferred
• FX/Front Office/Operations/Regulatory experience.
• Capital Markets background with FX Treasury and Market Services system knowledge
• Proven ability to construct integrations across multiple systems with different technologies.
• Follow Agile/Scrum development methodology with associated DevOps CI/CD practices.
• Experience with data serialization preferred
• Kafka, Solace, or MQ experience advantageous

This would be a Hybrid working role requiring the successful incumbent to be in office 2-3 times per week.
