Site Reliability Engineer - London - Leading Asset Manager

Cititec are working with a leading asset manager who are currently recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their thriving SRE team. This team is an essential part to the business as they are accountable for the companys technology.

With a focus on automation and efficiency, the successful candidate will join a team who are always looking for new technologies and ways of working to improve their platforms to be better than their competitors.

Requirements:

• Expert coding/scripting skills in either Python, Shell, Golang, C#, etc
• To be have strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Proven experience with Redhat Linux or other flavours
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform or Puppet etc
• Knowledge of networks and monitoring systems such as Prometheus or ELK
• To have knowledge of data platforms, ideally with Kafka

Additional responsibilities:

• Enhancing their current on-prem stack
• To be able to accelerate the migration strategy to be more cloud native
• To create and implement the IaC best practices
• Finding new ways of continuously improving the reliability and performance of the infrastructure
• Securing the Kubernetes platform which hands very large data volumes
